Westlife Radio 2 appearance confirmed.

Westlife to Announce New Tour Dates on BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills Breakfast Show

Westlife are set to appear on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 this Friday, 24th October. Band members Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, and Kian Egan will join Scott live from 8am to reveal additional dates for their 25th anniversary world tour.

The announcement comes as the chart-topping group prepare to celebrate a remarkable 25 years together, with the milestone tour kicking off in 2026. Concerts are confirmed for both Dublin and Belfast, with tickets going on sale at 9am on Thursday, 23rd October via Ticketmaster.ie.

Formed in 1998, Westlife have sold over 44 million records worldwide, earning their place as one of the most successful pop acts of all time. Speaking to Cool FM, the band reflected on the milestone, saying they aren’t counting the Covid years: "it's actually been 25 years since we started our first ever tour."

The group, known for timeless hits including Flying Without Wings, Fool Again and Unbreakable, last released an album in 2021 titled Wild Dreams.

The 2026 tour will begin with five nights at Dublin’s 3Arena from 22nd to 26th October, followed by three shows at Belfast’s SSE Arena on 27th, 28th and 29th October. These performances will see the band extend their record as the most frequent performers at the Belfast venue.

Reflecting on their special connection with Northern Irish fans, Shane, Nicky and Kian said: "Belfast has always held a special place in our hearts. The crowds here are unbelievable, the atmosphere is like nowhere else in the world. We can't wait to see everyone again next October."

Originally a five-piece, Westlife saw Brian McFadden depart in 2004 to focus on his solo career and family life. In 2022, Mark Feehily took a step back from performing to focus on his health.

Since reuniting in 2019, the group have played over 200 shows across 30 countries, reaffirming their status as one of pop’s enduring success stories.

Fans can tune in to The Scott Mills Breakfast Show this Friday via the BBC Sounds app to hear the band’s big announcement.
