Ralf Little to star in The Spy Who Came In From The Cold

Ralf Little is set to star in the first-ever stage adaptation of The Spy Who Came In From the Cold, the novel by John le Carré.

Based on the worldwide bestseller and named in TIME Magazine’s All-Time 100 Greatest Novels, The Spy Who Came In From the Cold is a gripping journey into the shadowy world of Cold War intelligence, where deception is currency and moral certainty is impossible. Little takes on the iconic role of British intelligence officer Alec Leamas.

World-weary, battle-hardened and desperate to escape the shadows, Leamas believes he is finally ready to come in from the cold. But when Control, chief of the Circus, presents him with one final mission — dangerous, deceptive and deeply personal — he agrees to stay in the game. Sent behind enemy lines, Leamas finds his beliefs tested and his emotional defences weakened by Liz Gold, a quietly defiant librarian whose humanity threatens to thaw his guarded heart. Meanwhile, questions swirl around the role of veteran spymaster George Smiley — and where his true loyalties lie.

Following a sold-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre and a hit West End premiere, this tense new adaptation comes to Curve for one week only. The play is written by David Eldridge (Beginning, Middle) and directed by Jeremy Herrin (A Mirror, People, Places & Things), bringing le Carré’s iconic spy thriller thrillingly to life on stage.
