The Traitors set to break ratings record tonight
The Traitors is on course to break ratings records tonight, following incredible scenes in last night's episode.
On Wednesday, ratings peaked at a massive 7.4million and that was set to rise last night, as tempers flare and divisions set in. But viewers were left open-mouthed during the closing scenes of episode 5, which saw Fiona turn on Rachel. It all came about after Amanda confided in Rachel that she was a former Detective. News that Rachel couldn't wait to share - wisely or otherwise - as soon as Amanda was banished from the Castle.
The disclosure led to a furious Fiona turning on Rachel, as she failed to believe that Amanda wouldn't have chosen her to confide it, but Rachel instead.
Once Rachel had done the rounds telling the other contestants she thought Amanda's predictions must be correct due to her previous career, Fiona commanded the room announcing that she believed Rachel was a traitor!
In scenes which led to Stephen looking like he was going to be physically sick, she laid into Rachel as her co-traitors looked on in horror.
Worse, the three traitors then had to come face to face in the turrit, and viewers were left in amazement as the three of them looked like they wanted to kill each other.
Tonight, as half of the UK stays home due to the weather, it looks as though up to eight million viewers or more might tune in live to see what the hell happens next.
The game is at half way point, the traitors unity has collapsed, and tensions are escalating rapidly! And the twists and turns don't end there because tonight will see one Faithful given a unique opportunity that could change the course of the game - if played.
Episode six airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
