Sky release first look a big new drama 'Prisoner'.

Sky has released a first-look image featuring Golden Globe and BAFTA nominee Tahar Rahim (The Serpent, Un Prophète) and Scottish BAFTA winner Izuka Hoyle (Boiling Point, Big Boys) in Prisoner, a high-intensity Sky Original action thriller set to debut in 2026. Created and written by acclaimed screenwriter Matt Charman (Hostage, Bridge of Spies) and directed by BAFTA-winner Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders), the six-part drama centres on a deadly pursuit where trust becomes a dangerous gamble.

The story follows Amber (Hoyle), a principled young officer responsible for transporting Tibor (Rahim)—a highly trained killer and key witness—so he can testify against his powerful criminal organisation. When their convoy is savagely attacked, Amber is forced to rely on the very man she’s meant to guard. As the only survivors, bound together and on the run, the pair must fight to reach safety and make their court deadline.

During their flight, their fragile partnership is pushed to the limit as the syndicate draws closer. Trust turns into a battleground, and their chained-together escape presents Amber with profound moral questions about how far she will go to defend what she holds dear.

The impressive ensemble cast includes Eddie Marsan (Back to Black, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe), Catherine McCormack (Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, 28 Weeks Later), Leonie Benesch (September 5, Babylon Berlin), Finn Bennett (Black Doves, True Detective), Sam Troughton (Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, Black Doves), Laurie Davidson (The Girlfriend, Mary & George), Ken Nwosu (Black Doves, Sticks and Stones), Brían F. O'Byrne (Conclave, The Wonder) and Youssef Kerkour (Lockerbie: A Search For Truth).

Prisoner is set to arrive on Sky and streaming service NOW in 2026.
