Review: Step into Christmas is THE BEST way to kick off the festive season ☆☆☆☆☆

My word, if you aren't feeling at all festive yet, you need to get yourself along to see 'Step Into Christmas', currently touring the UK.

We went along to see it at Leicester's brilliant De Montfort Hall venue this weekend, and to say it made us feel Christmassy is an understand.

Take an incredibly talented live band (including Lindsay Goodhand doing in credible things on the sax), four exceptional singers (Harry Lineker, Emma Lineker. Jennifer Green. Matt Duff), some fantastic staging and production and you've got the most uplifting show imaginable.  Packed with all your favourite Christmas classics, the show brings the spirit of the season to life with dazzling performances, stunning festive visuals, and a sensational live band. From heartwarming ballads to upbeat festive anthems, it’s the perfect playlist for your Christmas celebrations.

We lost count of the Christmas classics performed; Everything from Wham! to Winter Wonderland, songs by David Essex and Chris Rea, Mariah, Wizard, Buble... you name it, every Christmas banger you can imagine is performed.

Some songs by the two females, some solos, some by the two males, some by the band... the show's energy never waned and it was impossible to get bored.

We loved the Spice Girls medley in the middle. These are some of the biggest Christmas No.1 hits in the UK and yet we so rarely hear them on the radio, let alone live.

There was much sparkle and humour as well, in particular with a genius recreation of East 17's Stay Another Day.

The vocals, the smiles, the dancing, it wasn't long before the entire audience were up on their feet joining in.

Whether you’re starting a new festive tradition or keeping the magic alive, Step into Christmas is the ultimate feel-good Christmas concert spectacular.

It's an ideal show to go to with family and friends, regardless of age - we saw kids and grannies loving it as much as everybody else.
