Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson confirmed for The Graham Norton Show
Graham Norton is back with another glittering lineup of A-listers this Friday night (21 November), and it promises to be one of the most entertaining episodes of the season. The sofa will be bursting with Hollywood royalty, heartfelt stories, and a touch of musical magic — the perfect recipe for a cozy autumn evening in.
Leading the charge are Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, teaming up in the much-anticipated biographical drama Song Sung Blue. The film sees the pair taking on an unexpected challenge: portraying a Neil Diamond tribute act whose onstage chemistry spills over into their offstage lives. Jackman, known for his powerhouse vocals and charm, joked during filming that he had “finally found a way to out-sparkle The Greatest Showman.” Hudson, meanwhile, described the role as “the most fun I’ve had with sequins since Almost Famous.” Expect laughter, music, and perhaps even a cheeky duet on the red sofa.
Joining them is comic legend Ben Stiller, who’ll be swapping Zoolander’s “Blue Steel” for something a little more sentimental. His new documentary, Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost, explores the lives and legacy of his late parents, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara — beloved figures in American comedy. The project, he says, was “a love letter to the people who taught me everything I know about timing, teamwork, and surviving show business.” Graham’s bound to get him reminiscing about his early days and what it’s like to grow up in a household where laughter was part of the furniture.
Also on the couch is Oscar-winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, fresh from her acclaimed performance in The Holdovers. She’s back with a very different project — the whimsical afterlife rom-com Eternity. The film, which pairs Randolph with rising star Justice Smith, blends celestial fantasy with real-world emotion, asking what happens when love refuses to die. Expect her trademark warmth and wit as she shares stories from the set — and perhaps a few spiritual insights along the way.
Rounding off the evening is sombr, the mysterious and soulful singer-songwriter making waves with his haunting single 12 to 12. Performing live in the studio, sombr’s distinctive sound — a blend of lo-fi beats, raw guitar, and velvet vocals — is sure to give viewers a memorable musical moment to close the show.
With that mix of glamour, heart, comedy, and song, this week’s Graham Norton Show looks set to deliver everything fans love: A-listers letting their guard down, laughter that fills the room, and a touch of unexpected magic.
Watch The Graham Norton Show, Friday 21 November, 10.40pm on BBC One or BBC iPlayer.
