Fatboy Slim, Kasabian and Rudimental lead first wave of Boardmasters 2026 line-up
Boardmasters has kicked off excitement for its 2026 edition with a major first wave of artists, confirming that Fatboy Slim, Kasabian and Rudimental will headline next summer’s huge celebration of music and surf culture. The iconic Cornish festival will once again take over Newquay from 5–9 August 2026, bringing tens of thousands of fans to the dramatic clifftops of Watergate Bay and the legendary surf breaks of Fistral Beach.
The early lineup announcement also includes The Kooks, Loyle Carner, James Arthur, Alessi Rose, The Darkness, Goldie, Dizzee Rascal, Example, Tinie Tempah, Ewan McVicar and The Royston Club, giving festival-goers a taste of the diverse mix of indie, rock, electronic, and urban music Boardmasters is famous for.
A Cornish Festival With Global Appeal
Boardmasters has grown into one of the UK’s most distinctive festivals, blending world-class live music with a professional surf competition that attracts athletes from around the globe. Spread across five days, the event features multiple arenas, beachside sessions, wellness areas, afterparties, and breathtaking coastal views that make it one of the most scenic festivals in Europe.
Each year, Watergate Bay becomes the main arena for music, while Fistral Beach hosts surf contests, skate exhibitions, and a buzzing beach village packed with stalls, food vendors, and pop-up bars. Past editions have sold out months in advance, with crowds flocking to Newquay for its unique mix of seaside escapism and heavyweight musical talent.
The 2026 Headliners
Fatboy Slim, a long-time festival favourite, is known for turning any stage into a carnival of colour, energy and nostalgia, mixing classics like “Praise You” and “Right Here, Right Now” with explosive modern production. His Boardmasters sets in previous years have become the stuff of legend, and his return is already generating huge anticipation.
Kasabian, one of Britain’s biggest indie-rock bands, are expected to deliver a high-octane show filled with anthems such as “Fire,” “Club Foot” and “L.S.F.” Their reputation for blistering live performances makes them a perfect fit for the Boardmasters main stage.

Rudimental, renowned for their fusion of drum and bass, soul and pop, are set to bring a euphoric, high-energy live experience. With hits like “Feel the Love” and “Waiting All Night,” they are likely to be one of the weekend’s standout acts.
A Line-Up Packed With Variety
The supporting artists add even more depth to the 2026 programme. The Kooks remain indie-pop favourites with a catalogue of festival-ready singalongs. Mercury Prize–nominated rapper Loyle Carner brings thoughtful lyricism and soulful production, while James Arthur, known for his powerful vocals, is expected to draw a huge crowd. Rising star Alessi Rose represents the new generation of UK talent.
Rock fans will be thrilled to see The Darkness, famous for their flamboyant performances and hits like “I Believe in a Thing Called Love.” Drum and bass pioneer Goldie will bring his genre-defining sound, and Dizzee Rascal, Example, and Tinie Tempah add a trio of iconic UK urban artists to the bill. Electronic producer Ewan McVicar, along with fast-rising indie outfit The Royston Club, round out the first wave with fresh energy.
