Zayn on Capital: How to watch and listen to his interview

Zayn Malik doesn’t give many interviews, but today, fans can hear him on the all new Capital Breakfast with Jordan North. To listen or watch, you need to download the free Global player app. He’s on at 8am but you can check it out on demand as well.

Zayn’s appearance comes soon after Perrie Edwards and Meghan Trainor guested on the show, which airs 6-10am on weekdays.

Zayn will discuss his new album Room Under the Stairs on 15 May. Speaking about working with him on the album, producer Dave Cobb said: “What got me about Zayn was his voice, you can hear love, loss, pain, triumph and humanity in it. I feel as if this record is removing the glass from his spirit directly to his fans.

“Zayn has really created his own universe on this record, he really has no fear and is speaking straight from his soul.”

What has Zayn said about his new album?

Speaking about the album himself, Zayn previously told Rolling Stone magazine:  “I’m doing a record I don’t think people are really gonna expect. It’s a different sound for me. And it’s got some more narrative going on, like real-life experiences and stuff. My daughter’s mentioned in there a couple of times.”

He also said in a video to fans  “The intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being, my ambitions, my fears and for them to have a connection with that.”
