Review: Peter Pan Goes Wrong at Leicester Curve is the funniest show we’ve ever seen!

Following their multi award-winning sell-out success with The Play That Goes WrongThe Comedy About A Bank Robbery, and the BBC TV series The Goes Wrong ShowMischief return with their riotous spin on a timeless classic, the West End and Broadway smash hit Peter Pan Goes Wrong.

The members of the Cornley Drama Society are back on stage, battling technical hitches, flying mishaps, and cast disputes as they attempt to present J.M Barrie’s much-loved tale. But will they ever make it to Neverland?

Mischief’s unique brand of hilarious, ‘gut-busting’ comedy (New York Times), has found universal appeal.

It’s difficult to tell you much about this show without giving away the gags, and we definitely don’t want to do that because so much of the joy and the laughs comes from the unpredictability of it all. What we can tell you, is we’ve never laughed so much in a theatre. I mean, never. This show is so well crafted, it’s hard to convey. Everything is so cleverly done to ensure when things go wrong, it all happens in the most believable way. It’s not just a load of slap-stick and falling over during a Peter Pan story, it is so much more than that. Full credit to the people behind the sound, the staging, the lighting and the props, because they deliver a masterclass in production. And quite how the cast remember it all, I really don’t know.

Every cast member is sublime and we loved how we handled a little interaction with the audience, too.

Don’t miss Peter Pan Goes Wrong in Leicester and brace yourselves for an awfully big adventure! Just trust us, it’s extremely funny!

Tickets on sale now at curveonline.co.uk. Peter Pan Goes Wrong plays until Sunday.
