TV Tonight: Our Guy in Colombia

What to watch tonight: Part two of Guy Martin’s Channel 4 documentary is on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm.

Guy Martin's adventures in Colombia continue as he finds out if this beautiful country can ever escape its history of drugs and violence. Avoiding guidebooks and tourist attractions, Guy sticks to the streets to discover how the country really works. He hooks up with a 'gravity racing' gang in Medellin to try his hand at this semi-illegal cycling sport where the goal is to drop down the steepest mountain roads as quickly as possible on modified bikes, using extra weight to go faster.

The gravity gang say the rush is better than any narcotic. Guy then works on the world-famous Medellin cable car system, a gold-standard piece of public infrastructure that soars high above the city.

At Bogota's only motorsport track,he goes truck racing, Colombian-style - taking the wheel of a fuel tanker and trailer in the most chaotic event he's ever entered. In Colombia, danger is never far away.

After climbing onboard a drug cartel's smuggler narco-submarine, to see how it could be built in a jungle workshop, Guy gets face to face with a drug dealer and former employee of Pablo Escobar. He asks what motivates a life of crime. Later, a patrol with the Bogota police through the city's most dangerous slum reveals all.
