Kylie Minogue’s Las Vegas residency details announced
Entertainment News: Kylie Minogue will be the first headliner to play at The Venetian’s Voltaire venue.
Kylie Minogue will play a three month residency at Voltaire, the brand new 1,000 seater venue inside The Venetian Resort, Las Vegas. The pop legend will perform shows between November 2023 and January 2024, with tickets on sale from August 9.
The Padam Padam singer will perform a brand new show ‘Not Just a Residency’ in the multi-million dollar auditorium.
“It will feature songs from her back catalogue plus tracks from new album, Tension. Speaking about the album, Kylie said: “I started this album with an open mind and a blank page. Unlike my last two albums there wasn’t a ‘theme’, it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song. I wanted to celebrate each song’s individuality and to dive into that freedom”.
“I loved being back in the studio with my collaborators but was also able to benefit from remote recording, which we have all got used to. My mobile stu- dio never left my side for a year and a half! The album is a mix of songs I have written and songs which really spoke to me. I would say it’s a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high. Making this album helped me navigate challenging times and celebrate the now. I hope it accompanies listeners on their own journeys and becomes part of their story.”
Kylie’s landmark residency was announced at a small event in West Hollywood. There she tod the audience "Today is the day where it's all become beautifully real..I've been on a journey [with this project] for three years. To finally be able to say 'Yes, I am doing a show in Vegas'..it's such a good match, and I couldn't be more excited!"
In a press release, Michael Gruber, the producer who brought Voltaire to life, said "Everything about Kylie reflects the essence of Voltaire,"
