When does the new series of The Graham Norton Show start?

News: The Graham Norton Show will return on Friday 29 September 2023 for a brand new series, icymi.co.uk can reveal.

Fresh from being named Best Entertainment Show at The National Television Awards 2023, Graham and his red sofa will finally return after a long summer break at the end of the month.

Together on Graham’s sofa this week: queen of pop Kylie Minogue, promoting her latest album Tension, brilliant actor Stephen Graham, whose acclaimed one-take restaurant-kitchen drama Boiling Point now continues as a BBC series, actor and writer David Mitchell, talking about his new history of British royalty, Unruly, comedian Mawaan Rizwan, star and creator of surreal sitcom Juice, and music from singer-songwriter Mae Muller, who performs her current single Me, Myself & I.

Graham will be back with seven new episodes and a New Year’s Eve special.

This series won’t be littered with Hollywood royalty though, as American on-screen talent are not undertaking promotional activities until the end of the year in solidarity with the writer’s strike currently taking place in the U.S.

But there will still be plenty of stars who can appear on the show with Tom Hiddleston, Sir Lenny Henry, Jodie Whittaker and Ncuti Gatwa all lined up to guest.

They’ll be joined by stars from the world of music, likely to include Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams and television with Joel Dommett, Alison Hammond, new Big Brother hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best plus Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman all rumoured to be booked.

The 31st season of the show will air in the usual Friday night slot at 10.35pm on BBC One.
