Hits Radio has announced that broadcaster Rob Howard is joining the station’s national line-up to host a brand-new evening programme airing Monday to Thursday from 7pm.
Launching on 6 July, the new show will see Howard provide the soundtrack to listeners’ evenings, whether they’re commuting home from work, preparing dinner or catching up with friends.
Howard is a familiar voice to UK radio audiences, having built a successful career across some of the country’s biggest commercial brands. He previously presented on Capital, where he also covered the station’s flagship Breakfast show, before moving to Heart, where he became a regular presenter across the network.
Speaking about his new role, Rob said: “I cannot wait to get started on Hits Radio with my new evening show. There’s something really special about being part of people’s weeknight routine. Looking forward to catching up with everyone from Monday July 6th!”
Howard joins an established roster of presenters at Hits Radio, including Fleur East, Will Best, Marvin Humes, Sam Thompson, Gemma Atkinson and Kymberly Wyatt.
Meanwhile, industry speculation continues to grow around the future of broadcaster Sam Darlaston, who recently announced he is leaving sister station KISS after 11 years on air. Darlaston is widely tipped to join the Hits Radio line-up, although no official announcement has yet been made.
