The BBC has announced the cast for Honey, with filming now in progress on the brand-new six-part darkly comedic Cold War thriller romance from Sid Gentle Films Ltd, created for BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and ZDF.
Set deep in 1980s East Berlin, the series blends tenderness and flirtation with style and danger, delving into a hidden world of counter-espionage and perilous yet irresistible relationships.
Ann Skelly (House of Guinness, The Nevers) leads as Martha Schmitt, alongside Nate Mann (Masters of the Air, Licorice Pizza) as Kurt Fischer, Jannis Niewöhner (Munich: The Edge of War, Napoleon) as Friedrich Bauman, and Rory Kinnear (The Diplomat, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power) as Graham Anderson.

East Berlin, 1982. Martha (pronounced Marta), 24, is an MI6 agent living under deep cover.
