Rylan and Scott Mills are live from Malmö, Sweden, for the second semi-final of the world’s biggest music competition, as another 16 countries compete for the remaining ten places in the grand final.
Highlights include early favourite Nemo for Switzerland with their song The Code, Austria’s Kaleen, with her 90s-inspired dance anthem We Will Rave, and Joost Klein for the Netherlands, whose viral hit EuroPapa has already broken all streaming records in his home country. Also performing, but guaranteed a place in the final, are members of the ‘Big Five’, Italy, France and Spain.
Angelina Mango represents Italy, with her Latin-sounding bop La Noia, Slimane represents France, with his dramatic ballad Mon Amour, and Nebulossa, a synth-pop duo, represent Spain with Zorra, a song about female empowerment. All this, plus incredible interval performances and the nail-biting results countdown, make for a spectacular event ahead of the grand final.
Following Loreen’s historic win in Liverpool last May, hosting duties are with Sweden this year, with Hollywood star Malin Åkerman and Eurovision veteran and comedian Petra Mede presenting the show live from the Malmö Arena.
