New podcast will launch 5 February, 2025.

Alison Hammond, renowned for her dynamic presence on British television, is set to host a new podcast titled “Smart TV with Alison Hammond,” launching on Wednesday, 5 February 2025. Co-hosted by comedian and radio host Matt Crosby, the podcast will feature discussions with various celebrities about their ideal television viewing experiences. The inaugural episode will feature actor Richard E. Grant as the first guest.

The podcast will release two episodes weekly over a span of 10 weeks, totaling 21 episodes. Confirmed celebrity guests include Olivia Attwood, Prue Leith, Kathy Burke, Richard Armitage, Oti Mabuse, Rob Beckett, and Dermot O’Leary.

In each episode, guests will share their perfect night in front of the television, discussing their favorite shows, genres, and preferred snacks. Alison Hammond will then evaluate their choices and determine if their proposed night aligns with her tastes.

Alison Hammond expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating:

“I am absolutely BUZZING to share my brand-new podcast, Smart TV! I’m teaming up with the brilliant Matt Crosby to chat all things telly—drama, reality, and everything in between! And we’re kicking off in style with the legendary Richard E. Grant as our first guest. Expect laughs, gossip, and top-tier telly chat—it’s going to be amazing babs!”

This podcast serves as a spinoff to Rob Beckett’s “Smart TV” television series, which is scheduled to return to Sky Max and the streaming service NOW later this year.

Listeners can anticipate a blend of nostalgia and contemporary television discussions, as the podcast will cover a range of TV content, from classic series to current hits. Alison Hammond’s engaging personality and candid evaluations promise to make each episode both entertaining and insightful.
