About Severance
The series follows Mark Scout (Scott) and his team at Lumon Industries, who have undergone a groundbreaking severance procedure that splits their memories between work and personal life. This radical approach to “work-life balance” is challenged when Mark becomes entangled in a deepening mystery, forcing him to question the true nature of his work—and himself.
In the second season, Mark and his colleagues confront the dangerous consequences of tampering with the severance barrier, propelling them further into turmoil.
Severance is executive produced by Stiller, who directs five episodes this season, along with Uta Briesewitz, Sam Donovan, and Jessica Lee Gagné. Season one earned widespread acclaim, receiving 14 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Stiller), Outstanding Lead Actor (Scott), and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. The series won awards for Outstanding Music Composition and Outstanding Main Title Design, and garnered accolades from the Writers Guild of America, Screen Actors Guild, Producers Guild, and Directors Guild.
