According to Sky’s official synopsis:

“On December 21, 1988, 259 passengers and crew lost their lives when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie, just 38 minutes after takeoff. The crash claimed the lives of an additional 11 residents in the quiet Scottish town.

Following the disaster and the heartbreaking loss of his daughter, Flora, Dr. Jim Swire (played by Firth) becomes the spokesperson for UK victims’ families. Together, they demand answers and accountability.

Jim’s relentless search for justice spans continents and crosses political boundaries, putting his stability, family, and even his own life at risk. As revelations challenge his faith in the justice system, Jim’s perspective on the world is irreversibly altered.

Lockerbie: A Search for Truth portrays a deeply personal journey through the events of the disaster and its aftermath, offering an intimate look at a father’s unyielding fight for truth and justice in memory of his daughter.”
