Apple TV Plus releases trailer for ‘Carême’
Today, Apple TV+ revealed the captivating trailer for its upcoming French-language drama Carême, featuring César Award winner Benjamin Voisin (Lost Illusions), César Award nominee Jérémie Renier (My Way), César Award winner Lyna Khoudri (Papicha), and Alice Da Luz (Hanami). Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Martin Bourboulon (Les Trois Mousquetaires: D’Artagnan), Carême will premiere globally on Apple TV+ on April 30, 2025, with the first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Wednesday until June 11, 2025.
Carême tells the gripping story of Antonin Carême (Voisin), the world’s first celebrity chef, who rose from modest beginnings in Paris to achieve culinary fame in Napoleon’s Europe. While Carême dreams of becoming the most renowned chef in the world, his exceptional talent and ambitions attract the attention of powerful politicians, who recruit him as a spy for France. Caught between his desire to escape poverty and fulfill his dream, Carême faces a choice: pursue revenge or seize wealth, fame, and women—at a potentially devastating cost. Will he lose his love, his soul, or even his life in the process?
Based on the book Cooking for Kings: The Life of Antonin Carême, the First Celebrity Chef by acclaimed historian and playwright Ian Kelly (The King’s Man), Carême is created by Kelly and Davide Serino (The Bad Guy). Executive producers include Vanessa van Zuylen (VVZ Production) and Dominique Farrugia (Banijay’s Shine Fiction) for Apple TV+. Filming took place in iconic locations around Paris, such as Opéra Garnier, Palais des Tuileries, and Palais-Royal.

Carême joins a growing lineup of French programming on Apple TV+, which includes La Maison, a high-fashion drama starring Lambert Wilson and Carole Bouquet; Liaison, a tense thriller starring Vincent Cassel and Eva Green; the newly renewed multilingual drama Drops of God, starring Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita; and the recently announced thriller A l’ombre des forêts, starring Benoît Magimel and Mélanie Laurent.
