Renée Zellweger and Leo Woodall will guest on ‘The Graham Norton Show’ on Friday 31 January, 2025, to promote new film Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
In the film, to be released in the UK in cinemas in time for Valentines (and on streaming service Peacock in America), two-time Academy Award® winner Renée Zellweger reprises the role that immortalized a romantic-comedy icon, a woman whose unique take on life and love transformed the genre forever.
After discovering happiness in 2016’s Bridget Jones’s Baby, Bridget is once again on her own, having been widowed four years earlier when Mark tragically died during a humanitarian mission in Sudan. Now a single mother, she raises her 9-year-old son Billy and 4-year-old daughter Mabel while navigating an emotional standstill, supported by her loyal friends and even her former flame, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant).
Encouraged by her “Urban Family” — Shazzer, Jude, Tom, her work colleague Miranda, her mother, and her gynecologist Dr. Rawlings (Oscar® winner Emma Thompson) — Bridget sets out to rediscover life and love. Returning to work and dipping her toes into the world of dating apps, she quickly catches the attention of a charming and enthusiastic younger man (Leo Woodall from White Lotus).
As she balances work, parenting, and romance, Bridget contends with judgmental “perfect mums” at her children’s school, worries over Billy’s struggles with his father’s absence, and navigates a string of awkward moments with his pragmatic science teacher (Oscar® nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor).
It’s set to be the only UK tv appearance Renée and Leo will make together.
More big guests confirmed for 31 January…
Also on the show on 31st, This Is Us star Sterling K Brown, in thriller series Paradise; stage and screen star Anthony Mackie, wielding the famous shield in Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World; and pop icon Cyndi Lauper, talking about her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour.
The Graham Norton Show airs Friday nights at 10.40pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
