Channel 4 comedy Big Boys to end with third season

channel 4 big boys to end with third season, airing this february.

Channel 4 confirmed today that the critically acclaimed comedy Big Boys, produced by Roughcut TV, will return for its third and final season in February.

The official trailer and new images for the third series of Big Boys have been unveiled, featuring Dylan Llewellyn, Jon Pointing, Camille Coduri, Katy Wix, Izuka Hoyle, Olisa Odele, Harriet Webb, Annette Badland, and Jack Rooke.

BAFTA-winning writer and creator Jack Rooke shared his thoughts:
“Ten years ago, I took a scrappy comedy-theatre show about grief and friendship to a damp cave at the Edinburgh Fringe. I never imagined that a decade later, it would evolve into a sweet and silly sitcom about a lad’s lad and a nerdy gay guy becoming best mates. My therapist (a close lesbian friend) pointed out that Big Boys might be my subconscious way of saying goodbye to people or periods of my life. Giving the show a proper send-off feels like a huge honor. I’ve known the ending since the pilot, and I hope it captures the essence of those early Fringe shows while celebrating the brilliance of our cast, crew, and creative team. I’ll always be grateful to them for making these the funniest, happiest years of my life with Big Boys series 1-3. Thank you!”

Big Boys S3 – First Look

The third series follows Jack, Danny, and the gang during their final year at Brent Uni, navigating the highs and lows of dissertations, deadlines, dating, and the heartbreak of Louis Walsh leaving The X Factor (at least for Jack!).

Peggy and Shannon explore new romances and adjust to life with endless nappy changes, while Jack and Danny’s friendship faces its toughest test yet as adulthood looms. Will their bond survive, or is this the end of the road for the duo?
