Zoe Ball is due to return to her BBC Radio Breakfast Show this coming Monday, 23 September.
The confirmation will relieve fans who have been concerned about her absence. The popular presenter last hosted her show on 8 August, before taking an unscheduled break.
Listeners tuned in to find stand-in host presenter Scott Mills tell listeners that she was taking time off. It’s mean that Scott hasn’t presented his own afternoon show for more than a month.
Zoe’s spell of absence followed the death of her mother, who died from pancreatic cancer just 12 weeks after being diagnosed.
Zoe had planned to be back sooner, in time for Radio 2 in the Park in Preston but is thought to have requested additional time before returning to her show.
This week, Scott’s guests will include Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol. You can listen live or on demand via the free BBC Sounds app.
