When does Prime Target start on Apple TV Plus?

Apple TV+ has revealed the highly anticipated release date for its new conspiracy thriller, Prime Target, starring Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, One Day) and Quintessa Swindell (Black Adam, In Treatment). The series is set to premiere globally on January 22, 2025, launching with two episodes on the debut date. Following the premiere, fans can expect a weekly rollout, with a new episode dropping each Wednesday, concluding on March 5, 2025.

Prime Target, created by award-winning writer Steve Thompson (Sherlock, Vienna Blood), dives into the world of high-stakes mathematical discovery and government surveillance. Woodall stars as Edward Brooks, a math postgraduate on the brink of a revolutionary breakthrough in understanding prime numbers—a discovery that could unlock every computer in the world. But Edward’s journey becomes perilous when he realizes someone in the shadows is determined to keep him from his goal. He teams up with Taylah Sanders, an NSA agent (played by Swindell), who is tasked with monitoring the activities of the world’s mathematicians. Together, they unravel a conspiracy that pulls Edward into a world far more dangerous than he ever imagined.

The series boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Stephen Rea (The Crying Game), David Morrissey (Sherwood), Martha Plimpton (The Regime), Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Paradise Now), Fra Fee (Hawkeye), and Joseph Mydell (The Eternal Daughter). Produced by New Regency and Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions, Prime Target promises to be a captivating addition to Apple TV+’s lineup for early 2025.
