What to Watch Tonight: Wonders of the World I Can’t See

Chris McCausland: Wonders Of The World I Can’t See is on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm.

Comedian Chris McCausland is travelling across the globe to explore some of the world's most iconic, unforgettable landmarks - but in a new, unique way to discover things that the ordinary traveller might miss. Chris is blind, and in each episode he has a different celebrity guest travelling companion. As well as trying to bring these magnificent places to life with their words alone, Chris's companions do their best to prove to him that there's much more to visiting these places than just what they look like.

But can they convince him that it was worth getting off his couch in the first place? In episode two, Chris is joined by comedian and presenter Tom Allen in Rome, where they're doing as the Romans do - namely eating ice cream before it melts, zipping around the city on a rickety Vespa, training to be gladiators, learning to sing opera and making pasta from scratch. And will Tom's one-of-a-kind commentary do the Colosseum justice for Chris?
