Online camming has exploded since lockdown, with tens of thousands of young women selling sexually explicit shows online and building empires from their bedrooms. But with so many women being one click away, what does it take to make it as a cam girl in Britain today? Five unique cam girls are striving to stand out and carve a niche in a crowded market. From the stay-at-home mums to the social media stars and the girls you would never expect, they're turning on their webcams and turning on men (and women) across the globe. Maya, who's 22, has been camming from her bedroom for the last two years. When she returned to the UK from Pakistan, Maya decided to quit her medical degree and turn camming into a full-time career.
Her mother and grandmother are hugely supportive of her new career and,for Maya, her success enables her to support them both financially.But this year she's been pushing herself to work too many hours on cam and is beginning to feel burnt out. Sarah, a 32-year-old single mum of three, began camming after her relationship broke down and she needed to provide an income for herself and her kids. Sarah's been successful working from home so far, but this summer, she's been invited to attend her first-ever photoshoot in Marbella. This will be the longest she's left her kids for work. Will the mum-guilt kick in and stop Sarah from going?
