Broadcaster Julia Bradbury returns to the country of her birth for a series of journeys through Ireland's stunning natural landscape and vibrant cities.

From the Wicklow mountains to Donegal's beautiful beaches, and from the streets of Dublin to the hills of Connemara, Julia encounters Ireland ancient and modern, exploring the country's rich culture and history as she reconnects with the charm of her native land. Julia surfs, kayaks, walks, eats and tree-hugs her way across Ireland. In the first episode, she journeys through the south of Ireland, from the green fields of Tipperary to the dramatic coastline of West Cork.

At Cashel, she explores the spectacular medieval abbeys. In Kinsale, on the West Cork coast, Julia tastes her way aroundIreland's new gourmet capital. There's kayaking and seaweed foraging. In Skibbereen she learns about the Irish potato famine (1845-52). Julia ends her journey at Ireland's most south-westerly point, the dramatic Mizen Head.
