Radio 1 confirms Boardmasters coverage

icymiofficial.com BBC Radio 1 will be in Newquay for the 2023 Boardmasters festival.

The massive beach-side festival returns on 9 August, with headliners Liam Gallagher, Lorde an Florence + The Machine. Also performing this year will be Dermot Kennedy, Cyprus Hill, Cian Ducrot and Nathan Dawe.

Radio 1 will be bringing listeners a host of special shows, as follows:

1pm on Thursday 10 August: Charlie Hedges presents a 60 minute guide to Boardmasters (available to listen to now on BBC Sounds).

11am on Friday 11 August: Katie, Sam and Danni hit Boardmasters with a special live programme

11am on Saturday 12 August, more from Katie, Sam and Danni, live in Newquay.

11am on Sunday 13 August: Sam and Danni are still having it large at the festival

Boardmasters Festival is an annual event, attended by around 53,000 people each year. The festival takes place across two festival sites in Newquay, Cornwall.
