Arielle Free’s Radio 1 return confirmed

icymiofficial.com Arielle Free will be back on BBC Radio 1 on Saturday 12 August.

Arielle Free is to return to BBC Radio 1 next week, having allegedly been suspended following an on-air spat in Ibiza.

During Charlie Hedge’s Dance Anthems Show on 30 July, Arielle was sounding worse for wear when she appeared as a guest.

“Are you ok? You’ve sounded better!” joked Charlie to watch Arielle said “you know what, this is what happens. You play on Friday night, you play on Saturday day and then your voice just goes”.

She then switched up the coversation, taking Charlie by surprise as she said “Can I be honest with you Charlie?... I expected better of you... I don't like this song."

"Oh really?," a confused sounding Charlie replied. Arielle continued: "I hate it!"

“My rules, what are you talking about?… i’m sorry” slurred Arielle, before Charlie butted in, saying in reply: “Sorry I’m taking your mic down, it’s my show Arielle, have some respect please.

"See you later... Get out of here” as Arielle could be heard heckling in the background.

A spokesperson for Radio 1 said: “Whilst we would not comment on individual matters, we have strict codes of behaviour for staff and presenters, and any breaches are taken extremely seriously.”

Now icymi can confirm that Arielle will be back on BBC Radio 1 on Saturday, 12 August when she will fill in for Charlie on Radio 1’s Dance Anthems from 4pm. She’ll then be on air again at 8pm on Monday 14 August and Tuesday 15 August covering Radio 1’s Future Artists show, and on Wednesday 16 August covering Radio 1 Relax. She’s back covering the evening shows the following week and will return to Early Breakfast later in August.
