When does The Apprentice 2025 series start?
The Apprentice is back with a new series on BBC One and iPlayer on Thursday, January 30 at 9pm.
The long-running series is back for its 19th series, continuing its reign as one of the most-watched shows on TV. The 18th series proved to be a ratings success, with an impressive 6.6 million viewers tuning in each week. The show remains especially popular with younger audiences, drawing in 1.4 million viewers aged 16-34.
This season, 18 ambitious candidates will compete for the ultimate prize: Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment and mentorship. From the outset, the competition heats up with mixed teams, as the candidates head to the Austrian Alps to sell tour packages, marking the start of a thrilling series.
For those who make it past the first boardroom showdown with Lord Sugar, an exciting array of challenges awaits. Throughout the series, they’ll tackle tasks like creating a virtual pop star, turning heaps of potatoes and tomatoes into profit, designing and marketing Easter Eggs, flying to Turkey for a corporate hospitality challenge, and taking on the classic discount-buying task in the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon. And, of course, the high-pressure Interviews Week will see the final five face an intense grilling from Lord Sugar’s trusted business associates.
With 18 determined entrepreneurs vying for Lord Sugar’s investment and guidance, The Apprentice remains one of the toughest business competitions around. For the candidates, it’s a make-or-break moment: one wrong move and their dreams will come crashing down in the boardroom, but winning could propel their business to new heights. The stakes are higher than ever, and the ambitious contestants must draw on all their business expertise to secure the title of The Apprentice 2025.
Comedian, writer, and actor Tom Allen will return as the host of The Apprentice: You’re Fired, airing each week on BBC Two and iPlayer right after the main show. Tom will offer his signature witty commentary on the candidates' performances, joined by a mix of celebrity fans and business experts who will analyze and discuss the week's events.
