Ben heads to northern England on a journey through a different kind of wild living: vanlife. He stays with host Paul to discover why he traded living in a house for life on the road. He learns how Paul joined a community of full-time nomads, surviving on the road and off the grid, right here in the UK, as well as discovering the challenges that lie ahead for this growing movement.

Ben meets Paul in Lincolnshire onboard his 30-year-old converted military truck, Roxy. Together they travel to the stunning coastline to stay overnight on a beach. Ben is familiar with van-lifers in the US but is intrigued to find out how the lifestyle is possible in the UK with its strict wild camping laws. Together they go on a road-trip, share in an unusual hobby and meet Paul’s nomadic community.
