The Hairy Bikers Go West (North West Wales)

The Hairy Bikers Go West is on BBC Two and iPlayer at 7pm on Tuesday 4 March.

In what will be difficult viewing for fans, it's the first episode in the duo's new series to air since the death of Dave Myers, last week.

The Bikers continue their journey by heading to north west Wales, a remote but beautiful part of the UK and home to lush, green pastures, towering peaks, breathtaking valleys and 250 miles of stunning coastline. But alongside this epic scenery, the Bikers discover there’s a host of inspiring local producers that are doing their bit to celebrate this area’s rich diversity.

Announcing Dave's passing last week, Si King wrote: "

"I'm afraid I bear some sad news. Most of you will know Dave has been fighting cancer for the past couple of years."

He "passed away peacefully at home" on Wednesday with wife Lili, family and close friends at his side, King wrote.

"All who knew Dave are devastated at his passing. His beloved wife brought him such happiness as did her children, Iza and Sergiu who Dave loved like his own.

"Personally, I am not sure I can put into words on how I feel at the moment. My best friend is on a journey that for now, I can't follow.

"I will miss him every day and the bond and friendship we shared over half a lifetime. I wish you God's speed brother; you are and will remain a beacon in this world. See you on the other side. Love ya."
