The Apprentice: Budapest Tourism

The Apprentice continues Thursday 14 March, 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer as the candidates are faced with a Budapest Tourism task.

Lord Sugar’s candidates jet off to the capital city of Hungary, Budapest. Celebrating its 150th birthday, the candidates hope to capitalise on booming tourism to sell and run their own boat and vineyard tours. One team focus on fun over facts, while on the other team, a last-minute change of plan puts a spanner in the works. Back in the boardroom, Lord Sugar tells another candidate, ‘You’re fired.’

Speaking about the candidates, Tim Campbell MBE says: "I think the important thing is to be honest, to be really hardworking, to not come with any preconceived ideas about how you're going to make the process work for you. Don't try to compete with your candidates in a derogatory way. Because what you have to remember, the beauty of this process is that on one hand you're being incredibly selfish, you want to win. The only reason you come into it is that you want to beat your other your candidates, but the candidates are integral to you winning. If you don't work and align yourself to those candidates and bring them along on the journey, work in teams, understand their strengths and weaknesses as well as your own, you're not going to get very far. It’s a multitude of things that make a great, great candidate through our process, but the fact that the thing that we're most looking for is who's going to respect the process".

As ever, this week's episode is followed by The Apprentice: You're Fired with Tom Allen at 10pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
