Stream It: Terminator: Dark Fate
Terminator: Dark Fate is on Channel 4 at 9pm tonight.
Original creator James Cameron returns as a producer to the classic sci-fi action franchise for the series' sixth instalment, acting as a direct sequel to 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and completely ignoring the three films that immediately followed it. In the present day, young car factory worker Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) leads a completely normal life.
Until an advanced Terminator called the Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna) is sent back in time to kill her. Dani's got no idea why she's attracted the robots' ire, but help arrives in the form of Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an advanced human soldier from the future who's sent to protect her.
It's clear that Dani has an important role to play in the human resistance, especially when Terminator ass-kicking OG Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) turns up to help. Directed by Tim Miller (Deadpool) and also starring Diego Boneta and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
