Laura Whitmore Investigates Women Haters? The Truth About Incels is on ITV2 and ITVX on Wednesday 21 February at 9pm.

Laura investigates the disturbing and dangerous world of incels. Violence and murder, mainly directly at women, has been linked with this group in the UK and around the world. Laura is going to explore the evolution, mindset and real-life threat of incels. In order to understand them Laura will spend time with incels to find out if they all share the same extreme views or if some have fallen into a more radicalised and volatile version of the ideology.

She’ll meet a security expert who infiltrated their world, a psychologist who is trying to help them, and asks should incels be recognised as a terrorist group. Her journey starts in the USA when she meets an extreme incel, Darkcell, face to face. The community is so secretive that he only agrees to meet her in a mask and at a secret location.

In this three-part series, Laura travels within the UK, Europe and the US aiming to illuminate often dark and troubling subjects: the culture of “incels”, rough sex and cyber stalkers.

Laura meets people whose lives are consumed by these issues and the cultures that have evolved around them, their victims and those who are attempting to understand and address how they impact on our lives.
