Easter TV: Venom - Let There Be Carnage

Venom - Let There Be Carnage gets its free to air premiere this Easter Saturday at 9pm on Channel 4.

Veteran motion-capture actor Andy Serkis directs Tom Hardy in the return of Marvel's gnarly symbiote antihero Venom, for another romp through the trials and tribulations of having a ravenous alien living inside your body. The Carnage of the title is both another symbiote and the inevitable result of the CGI showdown that they'll surely have with Venom at the film's climax.

Carnage is created when Eddie Brock/Venom (Hardy) accidentally transfers his alien-infected blood to serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) - oops. Using his new powers, Kasady/Carnage escapes execution and channels all his energy into tracking down Eddie/Venom for a dust up. Oh, and he also wants to get back with his ex, Frances/Shriek (Naomie Harris), whose scream can kill. Bless.

Also starring Michelle Williams as Brock's girlfriend Anne. And the excellent Stephen Graham as a gobsmacked detective.
