How to watch and listen to Radio 2 in the Park
News: BBC Radio 2 in the Park takes place this Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September in Leicester, but if you can’t be there, you can watch on BBC Two, iPlayer and listen on BBC Sounds. Here’s how…
Radio 2 in the Park on BBC Sounds
There’s lots of coverage of Radio 2 in the Park coverage on BBC Sounds. You can already listen to some special programmes, including Eras: A documentary in which Kylie Minogue reflects on her career, in conversation with Scott Mills. On the Thursday and Friday before the event, Jo Whiley and Jeremy Vine will present their shows from the city, and Richie Anderson will be live from Leicester, too.
Across the weekend, there are lots of special broadcasts on BBC Radio 2 which you can also listen to on demand via BBC Sounds.
On Saturday, Dermot O’Leary kicks things off with his Saturday breakfast show at 8am, and then there’s a special show with Gary Davies from 10am.
At 1pm, you can hear Soft Cell’s live, 30 minute set. Then from 1.30pm, Sara Cox and Scott Mills are live from Victoria Park, Leicester, talking to Soft Cell and bringing you Busted live from the main stage.
At 3.30pm, Rylan and Dermot O'Leary Rylan bring you Beverley Knight, Deacon Blue and James Blunt live from the main stage and guests including Romesh Ranganathan, all from Victoria Park, Leicester.
At 6pm, Jeremy Vine and DJ Spoony bring you Texas, Bananarama and Gary Davies with his Sounds Of The 80s DJ Set live from the main stage at Victoria Park, Leicester. Special guests will include Tears For Fears.
Tears For Fears live headline set is on the air 8.30pm - 10pm, and then OJ Borg hosts the after-party show.
On Sunday at 11am, Scott Mills, Owain Wyn Evans and Michael Ball get ready for another day of exciting live music at Radio 2 in the Park from Victoria Park, Leicester.
They’re back at 1pm, after Simply Red live at 12.30pm.
The Morning Show is back with season 3
At 2pm, Jeremy Vine, Vernon Kay and Sara Cox bringing you Lemar, Jessie Ware and Rick Astley live from the main stage and catching up with them after their performances.
From 5pm, Jo Whiley and Bob Harris bring you Shalamar, Pretenders and an exclusive DJ set from Rylan and Scott Mills, all live from the main stage. Special guests will include Kylie Minogue, Michelle Visage and Trevor Nelson.
At 8pm, Kylie Minogue is live from the main stage until 9.30pm.
Then OJ Borg returns with another after party.
How to watch Radio 2 in the Park
Radio 2 in the Park sets will be available to watch on demand via BBC iPlayer. The following weekend, you can enjoy full sets including Kylie Minogue’s headline set on BBC Two (10.35pm, Saturday is when you can see Kylie).
