Humax TV Tonight: Phillip Schofield Cast Away

Phillip Schofield Cast Away starts tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.

The shamed tv presenter is set to make his return to television in an exclusive three-part series for Channel 5. This marks his first TV appearance in over a year, where Phillip shares his personal journey in the emotionally charged survival series Phillip Schofield Cast Away, produced by the award-winning Burning Bright Productions.

The 3 x 60-minute series will air over three consecutive nights from Monday, 30th September, to Wednesday, 2nd October, at 9pm. The show follows Phillip as he is stranded for ten days and nine nights on a remote, uninhabited island off the coast of Madagascar.

In this authentic and intense physical and mental challenge, Phillip is left completely alone with only a few cameras to record his experience. This solitary island existence forces him to face the difficulties of complete isolation, the harsh elements, and gives him time to confront his own thoughts as he reflects on his controversial story.

While Phillip is on the island, the production team will remain 30 minutes away, ready to intervene only in case of a serious emergency. Throughout the experience, his mental health and physical safety will be carefully monitored.

Phillip Schofield says: “This is definitely a first for me, and it’s something I felt I had to do. It appealed to me on many levels. I’ve recently had a lot of time to reflect on my life, the successes and the mistakes, but I’ve always had the support of friends and family. This time, it’s just me—no phone, no comforts, no crew, and my only luxury is lip balm. I’m excited to explore the island, try my hand at tying knots to build a shelter, and fend for myself in the wild with no help. Maybe I’ll be like Robinson Crusoe, or maybe I’ll just be Tom Hanks’ Wilson, drifting off into the wild blue yonder!”

Channel 5’s Commissioning Editor, Guy Davies, says: “This is more than just a survival challenge—it’s a chance for Phillip to reflect on the explosive events of the past 18 months. The audience will get to hear how he feels about television, his future, and his past. This will be Phillip Schofield like we’ve never seen him before—unguarded, emotional, and brutally honest.”

Executive Producer and Managing Director at Burning Bright Productions, Clive Tulloh, adds: “We’re thrilled to create this powerful and emotional series. It’s must-watch TV and gives a whole new meaning to survival.”

Phillip Schofield Cast Away continues tomorrow.
