Perrie Edwards pulls out of Radio 1 Live Lounge following Liam Payne death

Perrie Edwards has pulled out of a planned performance in BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge following the death of Liam Payne.

Perrie famously dated Liam’s former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik, and so spent a lot of time with Liam and the rest of the band. She also of course had many connections at The X Factor, the show which she won alongside Little Mix.

Radio 1 presenters Rickie, Melvin and Charlie told listeners today  “We’ve just had some news on our show that because of the sad news of Liam Payne earlier we have heard that Perrie is not going to be in the Live Lounge tomorrow.

“She was supposed to be performing but that’s now not happening tomorrow but it will be happening at a later date.”

The station has paid tribute to Liam today, playing his solo songs, One Direction tracks and reading out listeners reactions.
