Snow Patrol to celebrate 20th anniversary on Radio 2

Entertainment News: Gary Lightbody will cohost with Jo Whiley this Thursday evening.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of Snow Patrol’s seminal album Final Straw, Jo is joined by lead singer Gary Lightbody to co-host the show.

Founded in 1994 at the University of Dundee, Snow Patrol rose to fame in the 2000s as part of the post Britpop movement. In August 2003 the band released ‘Final Straw’, which gained its name from the band's belief that it would be their final attempt at success. Including the singles Spitting Games, How To Be Dead, Chocolate and Run, the album went to number 3 on the UK chart, and was certified 6 times platinum.

20 years later, Gary joins Jo to talk about the anniversary re-release of the album, and pick some music that has influenced him throughout his life.
