icymi: Applications for the new series of Big Brother close this Thursday 27 July, at Midnight, meaning fans have just hours left to apply.

ITV2 and ITVX are rebooting the competition, promising a “back to basics” approach to the show originally made famous on Channel 4, with presenters Will Best and Marcus Bentley both telling The Version they want to see “real people” in the house.

Will is to front the live shows and a new spin-off show with presenter AJ Odudi. She said “I’m so excited to finally be able to say that, yes: I’m hosting Big Brother! I couldn't be happier. Following in the footsteps of some of my favourite broadcasting legends to front such an iconic show is an absolute honour - and to do it alongside my amazing friend Will is the icing on the cake.”

Fans had a glimpse of the new presenting duo together for the first time on a new edition of Shopping with Keith Lemon, which is available to watch now on ITVX.

Producers have returned to an audition process, rather than casting influencers and people already known within the media industry, to ensure a diverse cast feature when the programme returns with a brand new house, this October.
