Great British Bake Off to return in September
The Version: The Great British Bake Off 2023 is set to launch on Tuesday, 12 September.
The brand new series of the iconic baking competition will return almost immediately after Bake Off: The Professionals ends, with just one week in between the two.
A source told The Version: “Schedule’s don’t get set in stone until two weeks before transmission, but all things are pointing to the 12th being the being the big day"!
This year’s series will see a brand new face in the tent, former Celebrity Bake Off contestant Alison Hammond who replaces Matt Lucas as co-host, alongside Noel Fielding.
On securing the role Alison said, ‘Finally I can talk about it! I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Great British Bake Off and can’t wait to meet this year’s bakers. It’s a huge honour to be back in the tent and I can’t wait to get started’.

The 14th series will be accompanied by another series of Bake Off: An Extra Slice. Two Christmas specials and another celebrity run - to include A Lister Ryan Reynolds - have also been filmed.
