Turtle Power! Rakuten TV makes classic movies available for FREE

icymiofficial.com Fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can watch some of the classic Turtles movies free of charge via the streaming service.

As the brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mahem film sets cinemas alight with rave reviews from critics and film fans, streaming service Rakuten TV has made several classic TNMT films available for fans to stream completely free of charge.

The range includes the iconic live action film, released in 1990. Under the guidance of a ninja master Splinter the Rat and television reporter April, the Turtles embark on a mission to run crime out of the city and battle the warlord Shredder. The Turtles themselves were designed by Jim Henson and the soundtrack was performed by MC Hammer.

But it doesn’t end there, because the sequel, “The Secret of The Ooze” is also available to stream, for free. In this film, the Turtles have been forced to move in with their friend the news reporter April O'Neil, because the Foot Clan knows the whereabouts of their lair in the sewers. While the Turtles are looking for a new home, they encounter a pizza delivery boy, Keno, who is trying to fight off a band of robbers. The Turtles intervene and help him. The turtles learn that Shredder is not dead and that he is searching for the green ooze that created them. Shredder hopes to create a group of mutant animals to use against the turtles. So the turtles have to prove again that they are the better ninja fighters.

The 1993 sequel “Turtles in Time” is available, too. The turtles have defeated their nemesis Shredder and are still forced to hide in the depths of the subway system. April brings them gifts to cheer them up and one of them is a time traveling device which takes the turtles and April back to feudal Japan. The turtles must fight to free the village and find a way home. Starring Elias Koteas ("Gattaca," "Shooter"), Paige Turco ("The Game Plan," "Invincible"), and Vivian Wu ("The Pillow Book," "The Last Emperor").

Turtle fans wanting even more of a fix can rent ‘Out of the Shadows’ for only £3.49. Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael are back to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil and a newcomer: the hockey-masked ally Casey Jones. After supervillain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop and Rocksteady, to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater threat with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.

The 2014 version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is also available to rent for £3.49. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are bigger and better than ever in this blockbuster hit loaded with nonstop action and laughs! When New York City is in trouble, it’s up to these four ninja-fighting, pizza-loving brothers to save it. Aided by determined reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and their wise master Splinter, these unlikely heroes must face their ultimate nemesis - the evil Shredder.

Or how about the animated adventure, Batman V’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?! When a new menace in Gotham City begins stealing experimental technology, Batman is put on high alert. But a team of warriors lurking beneath the streets is also on the case: the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Led by Leonardo, these brothers – brainy Donatello, fearless Raphael and wisecracking Michelangelo – are mysterious martial artists on a collision course with the Dark Knight. Warner Bros Home Entertainment, DC and Nickelodeon present Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a high-flying, pulse-pounding adventure the likes of which Gotham has never seen! Rent it for £4.99.

Last up, you need to watch The Definitive History of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, a documentary looking at the comic book phenomenon. In the spring of 1984, a strange new comic book sat beside cash registers in select shops, too big to fit in the racks, and too weird to ignore. Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles presented a completely original breed of super hero. It was too bizarre, too crazy. It broke all the rules and should never have worked. Until it sold out. Again and again and again. For 30 years. Now, peek under the shell and see how this so-called "happy accident" defied every naysayer to become one of the most popular and beloved franchises in the world. Rent it for £3.49.
