Capital celebrates massive result in latest RAJAR figures

icymiofficial.com Capital is celebrating after the latest round of RAJAR figures shows even more people are listening, with 7.8 million weekly listeners. 

Each RAJAR release shows listeners for radio stations in the previous three months, and the latest results also show Capital is the no.1 hit music station in London too, reaching 1.6 million listeners in the city.

The newly refreshed Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, featuring former Radio 1 DJ Chris Stark has also increased its listenership, reaching a huge 2.5 million listeners adding 50,000 since the last quarter and is up on reach, hours and share quarter-on-quarter.  

And there’s great news for Capital’s sister stations too. Capital Dance has smashed through the 1 million listener mark for the first time adding 141,000 new listeners quarter-on-quarter and Capital Xtra home to the biggest hip-hop and RnB has 1.7 million tuning-in across the UK every week. That’s more than double the figure listening to BBC Radio 1Xtra. Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie reaches 558,000 listeners increasing in reach and hours quarter-on-quarter. 

The station celebrates a new high as it reaches a record-breaking 450,000 weekly listeners. 

New station Capital Chill, which offers up chilled out Baleric beach vibes has attracted a massive178,000 listeners in its first RAJAR survey. 

The Official Big Top 40, which also airs on Heart, reaches as massive1.5 million listeners every week. 

Capital belongs to the Global network, which is also celebrating huge results for stations including Smooth, Classic FM, Radio X and Heart.
