Ruby Wax is up next on Kate Garraway’s Life Stories

icymiofficial.com: Outspoken TV presenter Ruby Wax is in the chair next week on Kate Garraway’s ITV series.

Kate looks back at Ruby’s acting and groundbreaking presenting career, and how her writing talent has created some of the most memorable characters in comedy.

Born in 1953, American-British actress Ruby became known for her BBC series Ruby Wax Meets and for starring in Jennifer Saunders’ classic comedy series, Absolutely Fabulous.

A big supporter of Comic Relief, she also appeared in special episodes of Celebrity Apprentice and Celebrity Masterchef, and more recently, she’s fronted Castaway on Channel 5 and taken part in Celebrity Gogglebox.

Ruby’s interview follows this week’s opening episode, which featured Strictly judge Anton Du Beke. In his episode, the first in the new series, Anton shared struggles growing up on a council estate in Kent and spoke about winning a National Television Award for best TV judge, Kate delved into Du Beke’s remarkable rise from a provincial dance school to one of the biggest shows on British television.

But behind the showbiz sparkle, we heard how Anton went through many years of struggle, some of which he spoke about for the very first time in this powerful and emotional interview.

Viewers were stunned to hear about Anton’s ordeal as a child, which saw him hospitalised after his drunken father stabbed him in the chest.
