Kylie Minogue and Dolly Parton lined up for Strictly

Entertainment News: Music legends Kylie Minogue and Dolly Parton have been lined up for special guest performances on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Both icons have new albums coming out in the Autumn, with Kylie’s Tension up first on 22 September. Kylie is expected to perform the follow-up to Padam Padam, thought to be the title track from the album.

It’s not the first time Kylie has performed on the show, having appeared in 2016 and 2019.

Dolly Parton will appear much later in the series, at the end of November, when she’ll perform a track from her new album Rock Star. It’s the singers 43rd album and her first ever record in the rock genre. The album features duets with a string of music royalty including Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Debbie Harry, Sir Ringo Star and Miley Cyrus.

"I'm so excited to finally present my first rock and roll album, Rockstar," Dolly said in a statement.

"I am very honoured and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.

"I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I've enjoyed putting it together."

Who is performing on Strictly results shows this year?

As well as Kylie and Dolly, other artists rumoured to be performing on this year’s Sunday night results shows include Loreen, Katy Perry, Dua Lipa and Troye Sivan.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.
