Stephen Sanchez on course for this week’s No.1 single
Stephen Sanchez is heading for the top of the UK singles chart this week, with his single Until I Found You set to be No.1 by the weekend.
Stephen, who is relatively unknown in the UK, was Sir Elton's special guest as he joined him on the stage to confidently perform the track at Glastonbury festival.
He was the only guest to perform their own song and looked visibly moved as the gigantic crowd sang the words back to him.
The 20 year old singer/songwriter was discovered via Tik Tok and was signed by Republic Records after the video for his track Lady By The Sea recorded over 2 million views.
Until I Found You peaked at No.16 in the UK when it was released in 2020 but a surge in streams places it in front of Kylie Minogue and Leanne Pinnock on the British iTunes chart.
As the tracks isn’t available here physically, it is unlikely to be No.1 on the Official UK Chart on Friday but is set to top the Official Big Top 40 Chart - the UK’s most listened to chart countdown - which airs Sundays on Capital, Heart and Global Player.
