Kygo, known for his chart-topping hits and signature tropical house sound, is set to open the Palm Tree Club hotel in Miami this December. This venture falls under his live events business, Palm Tree Crew, which he co-founded with his manager, Myles Shear, in 2020. Palm Tree Crew has rapidly expanded to encompass global live events, including music festivals, an artist management agency, custom products and apparel, capital investments, and hospitality.
The Palm Tree Club is a collaboration with Miami-based development firm Continuum Company and will replace Shuckers Waterfront Grill & Hotel on North Bay Village island, just minutes from Miami Beach. Highgate will manage the property, which will feature a 118-suite hotel, a waterfront restaurant, a 20-boat slip marina with dine-and-dock services, and a pool, with further amenities set to be announced.
Palm Tree Crew will lead the redesign, programming, and creative direction for Palm Tree Club, while Continuum will head up the property’s redevelopment. Myles Shear expressed his excitement about the project, stating: “We are so excited to introduce our first restaurant and hotel in Miami, and even more thrilled to do so at the iconic Shuckers property. Shuckers has been a Miami institution that we have long admired growing up in Miami and we are honored to continue its tradition. It is a dream come true for Kygo and me.”
The Palm Tree Club will also host a program of live music and events, merging the “energy of the festival scene with the joy of laid-back hospitality.” This unique blend aims to create a legendary spot that embodies Miami’s vibrant spirit while offering best-in-class service, food, talent, and creativity.
“We are grateful to partner with the Continuum Company and cannot wait to open our doors later this year,” Shear added. “With Palm Tree Club, it is not just about launching a new hotel and restaurant. It is about building a legendary spot on a landmark that blends Miami’s vibrant spirit with the best-in-class service, food, talent, and creativity of Palm Tree Crew.”
Kygo’s career has been marked by significant milestones, including being the fastest artist to reach one billion streams on Spotify. His debut album, “Cloud Nine,” and subsequent releases have solidified his status in the electronic music scene. The launch of Palm Tree Club marks another ambitious chapter in his multifaceted career, bridging his musical talent with innovative hospitality ventures.
Kygo’s new album KYGO is out now, with a world tour to follow.
