Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding continue to guide the latest batch of bakers through Paul and Prue’s fresh challenges, in the nation’s most famous tent. It’s a Bake Off first as we step back in time to the 1970s! The bakers rock their bell-bottoms as they tackle three groovy challenges from the decade that brought us ABBA, Star Wars and space hoppers.
First up, it’s all about choux as the bakers whip up towering profiterole masterpieces, perfect for a 70s dinner party. For the Technical, they take on a retro favourite. And as the 1970s was the golden age of the gateau, the Showstopper demands a cake that’s elaborately decorated with all the flair of the era. Only four bakers can make it to the semi-final… whose gateau will steal the show?
