Sam Thompson wins I'm A Celeb

Sam Thompson, renowned for his appearances on the reality TV show Made In Chelsea, emerged triumphant as the ultimate victor in the latest edition of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! The 31-year-old star, who now presents the evening show on Hits Radio, secured his jungle throne in the ITV reality show's finale on Sunday, surpassing competition from formidable contenders such as boxer Tony Bellew and former UKIP and Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage.

In a riveting culmination to the three-week-long journey through the Australian jungle, Thompson's victory marked the realization of a long-held dream. The former heavyweight boxer, Bellew, claimed the second spot, while Farage, distinguished as the highest-paid participant with a £1.5 million fee, secured the third position.

The fiercely contested competition featured a dozen celebrities who ventured into the challenges of the jungle, each vying for the coveted title. Reflecting on his unexpected triumph, Thompson expressed overwhelming gratitude, stating, "I am really overwhelmed. I didn't even think I was going to be invited onto the show, let alone this. I am so grateful, thank you so much. I've dreamed of doing this show for years and years, and you made this boy's dream come true."

Nigel Farage, who secured a massive £1.5million fee to take part in the series, said: "It was interesting. Obviously there were people there that have very different views on Brexit and other subjects, and I never raised one political debate in there - not one in the whole time I was there," he said.

"Others did with me, but I think I managed to persuade them that we should respect the right of the other person to have a different point of view. And I had no screaming arguments... But we had proper debates. And I think in the end, I hope, the other candidates respected my point of view."

This year's I'm A Celebrity had less viewers watching than the 2022 series, but has still pulled in 5 - 6 million viewers each night. Catch up on ITVX.
