The two hour Question Time Leaders special will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm on Thursday 20 June.
In the two-hour special, the leaders will have 30 minutes to answer questions from the live studio audience in York in the established Question Time format.
The order the leaders will appear is Sir Ed Davey, John Swinney, Sir Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak. This has been agreed among the BBC and political parties.
As is the case with every Question Time programme, questions will reflect the subjects people are most interested in and the audience will submit questions in advance and on the night.
The selected audience will reflect a wide range of political sentiment and voting intentions from across Great Britain.
The participants in the Question Time Leaders’ Special on 20 June are:
- Rishi Sunak – Conservative Party
- Sir Keir Starmer – Labour Party
- John Swinney – Scottish National Party
- Sir Ed Davey – Liberal Democrats
An additional Question Time Leaders’ Special, featuring representatives from Reform UK and the Green Party, will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm on Friday 28 June.
